COSMETIC BONDING

Cosmetic bonding is a procedure in which a tooth coloured resin material is applied on the tooth and is bonded to it using a bonding material and a special light. Cosmetic bonding is used to repair chipped or cracked teeth, to improve the appearance of discoloured, poorly shaped teeth or to close spaces in between the teeth. It involves minimal preparation of the tooth and is completed with in one appointment. It is a conservative and least expensive method of cosmetic improvement, compared with veneers or crowns. Unfortunately it does not resist stains as well as porcelain and can chip or break when heavy pressure is applied.

PORCELAIN VENEERS

Porcelain Veneers are thin shells that adhere to the front surface of the tooth. They are used to improve the appearance of the teeth, restore damaged or discoloured teeth, close the spaces in between teeth or restore poorly shaped or crooked teeth.

Teeth whitening is one of the most popular techniques to improve your appearance. It is safe for both teeth and gums, provided it is done under the supervision of a dentist. Over the years our teeth stain due to aging, medication, trauma, disease, food and beverages (coffee, tea, colas, tobacco ). Professionally done teeth whitening, can remove stains from your teeth and bring back their original bright and white colour.

There are two ways to whiten your teeth.

1. In office whitening with Zoom! It whitens teeth in one visit. After we cover your lips and gums we apply a thin coating of whitening gel on you teeth, which is activated with a special light (ZOOM!)
2. At home whitening. We will take molds of your teeth and supply you with custom trays and the whitening gel, as well as instructions for at home use. Most patients see results in 7-10 days.
